# What is KOMOBI's eCall service?

## This is our accident detection and SMS service for your emergency contacts.

KOMOBI's eCall service is designed to provide assistance in the event of an accident, quickly and efficiently alerting emergency services or your trusted contacts. **The response protocol varies depending on whether you are in Spain or another country**.

#### **How does KOMOBI's eCall work?**

The system detects a possible crash or accident through the KOMOBI device installed on the motorbike. Once the incident is detected, the emergency protocol is automatically activated.

#### **eCall Protocol in Spain**

In Spain, KOMOBI has an **Alarm Receiving Center (CRA)** that manages alerts in case of an accident. The protocol is as follows:

1. **Accident detection:** The KOMOBI device detects a fall or strong impact.
2. **Automatic alert to our CRA:** An immediate alert is sent to our emergency center.
3. **Attempted contact:** Our CRA will try to reach you within a maximum delay of **5 minutes** to verify your condition.
4. **Emergency activation:** 
     - If you **answer and confirm that you are okay** (via the call with our CRA or through the KOMOBI app), the alert is canceled.
     - If you **do not respond or confirm that you need help**, our CRA will contact **emergency services (112)**, providing your exact location.

This service ensures an **immediate response** in the event of a serious accident, ensuring you receive help as soon as possible.

#### **eCall Protocol Outside Spain**

If the accident occurs **outside Spain**, the protocol is managed directly via **SMS** to the emergency contacts provided in the KOMOBI application.

1. **Accident detection:** The KOMOBI device detects a fall.
2. **SMS notification to emergency contacts:** 
     - An automatic message with your real-time location is sent to the numbers you have previously set.
     - Your contacts will receive the alert and will be able to manage the necessary assistance.
3. **Action by contacts:** 
     - Since there is **no CRA intervention outside Spain**, it is your **emergency contacts’ responsibility** to notify the local emergency services if needed.

It is recommended to **inform your emergency contacts** about this protocol so they can act quickly if they receive an alert via SMS.
